Recently, mechanical employees at KCS’ Knoche Yard in Kansas City, Mo. noticed what they thought to be a suspicious rental car parked near the service tracks.  As they began to take down information on the car to report to the Critical Incident Desk, KCS director environmental health and safety Chet Culley returned to the location with the driver and passengers of the car.  The visitors were a vendor and Culley had been giving them a tour of the yard.  Culley commended the mechanical employees for their watchfulness and action to protect the safety and security of the operation.

As a reminder, employees are responsible for their own safety and security, as well as for that of their co-workers and the communities we serve.  We must be aware of our surroundings and diligently watch for danger and report or protect any situations that present a security concern.  For more details, see Security in the Employee section of www.kcsouthern.com.
