The Kansas City Southern Railway (KCSR) Company is currently soliciting
proposals for services and materials in connection with the Gulfport Rail Improvements
Project. In general, this project involves improvements to KCSR’s rail
line between Gulfport and Hattiesburg, Mississippi. This webpage contains information

Mississippi Certificate of Responsibility Number
Under Mississippi law, various portions of the work may require the bidder to obtain
a Mississippi contractor’s license before submitting their bid. For more information
about whether this requirement may apply to you and the work that may be included
in your proposal for a particular RFP, please visit Mississippi Board of Contractors.

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program
KCSR will host a Disadvantage Business Enterprise open house meeting to discuss
the Gulfport Track Improvement Project and potential opportunities for DBE participation
in the project. The meeting will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Westside
Community Center, 4006 Eighth Street in Gulfport, Mississippi. Certified DBEs will
receive an overview of the project, general information about the KCSR DBE program,
and corporate initiatives related to identifying and utilizing qualified DBEs and
small businesses.
The Company has drafted a DBE program for the Gulfport Rail Improvement Project,
and awaits approval of the program from the U.S. Department of Transportation. For
